The WebVrChk ActiveX Control lets you easily add version checking
to your applications across the internet or an intranet.
Suggested usage is to periodically (e.g. on application start up
or once a month) call the Check() method that performs a version
check for you. If a different version is found the one specified,
the control triggers the UpdateAvailable Event. This allows the
flexiblity to prompt the user to download a newer version if one
Version 4 adds support for parsing version information from XML files,
more robust error handling and improved version number checking.
You are permitted to use the Web Version Check ActiveX Control a
well as distribute the .OCX and associated files with your
application royalty-free, provided you do not alter the .OCX file
or take personal credit for the control.

The control was written using Visual Basic 6.0 (Service Pack 3), which require certain runtime
libraries to be installed. These libraries will be automatically installed
by Internet Explorer or can be installed from the
Runtime Download page.
